Philosophie Superfoods

Green Dream Philosophie 01

Ya’ll know I’m smoothie obsessed…and for good reason! What better way to fuel up on nutrition, minerals, vitamins, veggies, and fruits! I also LOVE to add superfoods to my shakes for extra super powers.

Some of my favourites are:

However, when you’re in a hurry in the morning unsealing all these different bags and fiddling with a little bit from each container, makes adding those special ingredients a little tedious.  Not to mention, how expensive it is to buy a bunch of different superfoods when, if you’re like me, you mostly use them in just smoothies.

My friend Sophie from Philosophie recently emailed me about her products. I checked out her site and was totally excited about what she was doing. I’m a huge fan of raw, organic superfoods and how they help our body heal, recover, and keep healthy. Not to mention, she’s such a sweetie – I enjoy following her on Instagram. She’s awesome.

Philosphie Products

Sophie sent me a couple of her superfood blends and they aaamaaazing. I feel awesome after one of her shakes because it totally fuels up my “energy” tank!

Why the superfood blend is absolute genius:

  • Convenience. Just add 1-2 Tablespoons of the blend to your smoothie (or more!) instead of different measurements from each one…the work is already done.
  • Saves money. No need to purchase all the superfoods separately anymore.
  • Highest Antioxidant scoring of any food on the PLANET.
  • Completely Organic
  • 100% Raw & Vegan
  • Certified Fair-Trade
  • Promotes weight loss (for anyone replacing one smoothie as a meal)
  • Increases natural energy gain (no caffeine)
  • Helps with mental clarity and focus

Brilliant, right?

Green Dream Philosophie 02

Ever since I got the superfoods, I’ve been a fanatic of the Green Dream blend. It contains spirulina, fresh vanilla pod, raw vegan sprouted protein powder (hemp), maca (balances mood, high in iron and protein), tocos (vit.E), chia seeds, mesquite and chlorella. I’ve also been feeling under the weather lately (fighting a cold) so this was the PERFECT thing to help heal me up.

Cacao Magic Philosophie

I’ve also been loving the Cacao Magic blend. It has little bits of cacao nibs in the mix, which actually kept me digging in the bag and eating the power straight. Yes, I have the ability to eat plain, dusty cocoa. I’m a true chocolate lover.

It’s awesome because it has Chinese medicinal mushrooms- reishi, cordyceps, chaga, maca, cacao powder & nibs, chia seeds, tocos and fresh vanilla. Superfood heaven.

Cacao Magic Philosophie 02

I made a chocolate shake the other day and I remembered to write down the recipe, so I thought I’d share the deliciousness with you.

Magical Cacao Smoothie

  1. 3/4 cup raw almond milk
  2. 2 tbsp. Cacao Magic blend
  3. 1 tsp. organic peanut butter
  4. 1 tsp. raw coconut oil
  5. 1 tsp. maple syrup
  6. 1 frozen banana
  7. 10 drops of cocoa stevia
  8. 3-6 ice cubes

I blended all that goodness up and topped it with hempseeds. Yum city.

Cocoa Bean Stevia

(Love my cocoa stevia – no cals and a lot of flavour!)

Anyway, I’m loving these dreamy superfood blends and I’m using them all the time! I even made GREEN superfood protein pancakes the other day! I feel like they really help me with energy.

Green Superfood Pancake

I’ll share the recipe with you soon! Also, it’s worth mentioning that Sophie has some delicious looking recipes on her site which I’m dying to try.  I’m looking forward to making her Healing Hot Chocolate, Superfood Breakfast Oatmeal, and the Mint Cacao Smoothie. Mmmm…

Don’t forget to check out Sophie’s blog – she’s such an inspiring, beautiful lady. Hope you enjoyed today’s post and can check out her site!

What’s your favourite superfood? Mine is cacao (basically chocolate – no surprise there!).

I wish I were smoothie-obsessed. I like them – yes, even the green ones. But I just can’t get into the habit. I like eating meals more than drinking them, I guess.

I was excited to read this article! I use green dream everyday. I make smoothies for not only myself, but my husband and daughter too. I find comfort in knowing that my daughter is getting all the daily nutrients she needs in one smoothie. for me is eases my worries of trying to get her to eat her veggies (though i still try ;) And you are right, it is a total time saver. Thank you Philosophie!

I’ve hadn’t heard of this company yet. The name is too cute. Oh, and I’ve eaten dusty cocoa, too. Love chocolate <3

What a neat product. I am checking it out now. I always get tired of opening all my different packages… time-consuming and YES, so expensive.

Me too! I love smoothies and adding superfoods. Spirulina is my favorite right now. I’m always looking for yummy ways to incorporate spirulina without overpowering the recipe. The Green Dream Blend sounds fabulous!

I am happy to hear about superfoods! They sound like a convenient way to spruce up a smoothie :-). Thanks for the post.

I love the idea of a superfood blend. I think cacao is my fave!

Why doesn’t this product specific the amount (in mcg) of “superfoods” used in this powder. Anyone can say they have some amount of each ingredient but the amount of each is more important. It seems she is hiding something. It makes sense that it tastes better than other products because it probably contains less amount of these “superfoods”. Beware
