No Time for Homemade Dressings

Kraft Salad Dressing 02

I must confess that I haven’t been eating a lot of salads lately. I absolutely love salad, but my favourite salads are the ones that I make interesting. You know, the salad meals that are loaded with different veggies of different colours, seeds, protein, and a mouth-watering, succulent dressing.

Lately, it’s been a lot of this…in the salad department.

Boring right?

I’m always so rushed in the morning that I if I have a salad for lunch, it’s usually just olive oil and maybe some lemon. While I enjoy simple salads like this once in a while, it gets old.

The only salad dressing I have at my house is olive oil, so I got a little excited when Kraft sent me some of their newest dressing. Now maybe I’ll have a little extra motivation to not be boring.

They sent me some of these lovely salad dressings:

Berry Balsamic – this one I’m actually eager to try on a fruit salad. Sweet and tangy.

Roasted Yellow Pepper, Garlic and Lime

Fire Roasted Tomato with Basil – these last two flavours I am loving with fresh-cut veggies for dipping.

Garlic Parmesan with Roasted Cauliflower – I think this last one if my favourite. It has a snappy bite, but a creamy parmesan flavour that pairs perfectly

Bye-bye boring.

Why I like them:

  • Made with real fruits and vegetables
  • Yummy flavours
  • No artificial flavors or colors
  • Low fat and salt
  • Between 25 – 30 calories per serving

I’m more of a fan of dressings that are homemade, but I realize that people don’t always have time to prepare everything from scratch. That’s why it’s nice to find some low-calorie dressings that are decent for you…especially for those days when you’re in a hurry.

Salads can be exciting

I have ideas of trying them on some cooked veggies too…

Do you tend to buy your salad dressings or do you prefer to make homemade? Have you tried Kraft’s new dressings?

*This post was sponsored, but happily so…because I love Kraft’s salad dressings. Yum, yum.

Good to know there are options. I would like to try the yellow pepper lime and fire roasted tomato basil. I think the berry one would be breat in my pear, but and goat-less cheese one.

I too like my salads loaded with toppings but have not been making protein patties so the timing is perfect.

I def DONT find naked salads to be boring at all… I find that all the toppings I add are enough to make the salad flavorful that there is no need for dressing! I love olives, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, chicken… mmm! I could go for a salad right now!

I like to make mine usually, hubby did buy some Kraft Asian Toasted Sesame last week that he really loves now. These look good too!

Can these kraft dressing be bought online? I live in Bismarck, ND. A lot of the organic/natural options are limited. I have never seen this dressing before.

    Thanks,
