Philosophie Cleanse (part 1)

Philosophie 5 Day Cleanse

Yesterday and today have been FABULOUS! My friend Sophie (who has the best superfoods) has amazing advice and sells awesome superfoods/cleanses, so I thought, “What better way to start the New Year but with her cleanse?” So that’s what I’m doing right now and I LOVE it.

You know how it is during the holidays…there’s a lot of family, social gatherings, and a ridiculous amount of food. I’m not one to skip all the fun! However, I have to say, this cleanse could come at no better time! It’s my reset button.

New Year's Party

I chose to do Sophie’s 5-day plan – which comes with detoxing superfoods, cleansing supplements, a food plan, and even a detoxifying bath blend.

The plan is based around delicious healing smoothies, soups, and salads with unique superfood blends. Oh, and did I mention delicious?

Honestly, I thought I’d feel deprived…especially after all the rich holiday fare I’ve been enjoying…but nope. Not at all. I can’t tell you how good it feels to eat simply with pure foods. I feel energetic and proud of myself for putting such restorative food into my body. Seriously, all day I’ve been wondering why I like sugar so much.

Yesterday is when I started it…and what better way to start it off but with one of my favourite Philosophie recipes…the Green Dream smoothie.

Philosophie Green Dream

I heart this smoothie so much, however, I always add about 1 teaspoon of spirulina to it…just because I’m obsessed.

Day 1 of Philosophie Cleanse

Over the whole day I enjoyed a squash soup, a salad with organic squash and turkey, a pomegranate, and of course, my green smoothie. I had big portions and my body was happy all day…just flooding with delicious nutrients.

Today I had a Cacao Magic smoothie for breakfast, a mandarin for a snack, and an aaaaamazing kale salad for lunch.

Cacao Magic Smoothie

I know I already said this…but I am just LOVING this cleanse so much. It doesn’t feel like a drudgery at all…I’m excited about it! Maybe it’s because I just feel so crazy amazing…which is saying a lot since these last few days I’ve been feeling really low in energy.

Power Kale Salad

I’ll be checking in with you guys again and letting you know how the rest of the cleanse goes! Here’s to a happy and health-filled New Year!

Have you ever done a cleanse? How’s the New Year treating you so far? Excited?

Interesting! When you first said “cleanse” I thought maybe you were only going to be drinking something all day and not eating food. Everything looks delicious and sounds like it’s what your body needed! Happy New Year to you!

I’ve never done a “cleanse” but I am going to do this New Year New Rules 15 day healthy lifestyle program which should be interesting!

I’ve never done a cleanse…but I’ve cleaned up my lifestyle and diet :)

    Happy New Year!

I like that this cleanse includes food. It’s actually not much different than how I eat most of the time. I love green smoothies, that salad looks amazing and the Cacao Magic smoothie could conquer any dessert cravings.

The smoothie looks incredible! More people would do cleanses if they knew they could start the day with one of them! :)
