Chocolate Raspberries

Raspberries-with-dark-chocolate-chips-in-cupcakes-holders

Hello! I am Lauryn, over at The Skinny Confidential and I am thrilled to guest posting for The Colourful Palate; we both have the same idea in mind: instead of dieting, adapt a healthy lifestyle with simple diet modifications and substitutions.

My grandma [we call her “the Nanz” for short] was recently staying at my house for a few days. My schedule is unpredictable and crazy so I wanted to make her feel comfortable in my home. I decided to make her a healthy dessert that would stay fresh for the duration of her visit: dark and white chocolate stuffed raspberries. This is perfect to leave out on the kitchen counter for instantly satisfying a sweet tooth. The Nanz was delighted when I presented her with this nectarous treat & proceeded to eat one on the spot. Simply take organic raspberries, wash them (delicately), and stuff them with dark chocolate and white chocolate chips.

This is perfect for a movie night or a simple dessert after a decedent meal! Enjoy!

When she’s not making a skinny cocktail, Lauryn is a blogger, fitness instructor and model. Her blog, The Skinny Confidential, is all about having your cake and eating it too. She does not believe in diets- only recipe modifications, accessible fitness tips and healthy weight-loss tricks. Her site also offers a store with girly trinkets to enhance any dish along with tons of delicious, guilt-free recipes with half the calories. Lauryn is also a FitFluential ambassador, actively involved with the Yellow Ribbon Program, and currently a “practicing vegan” 80 percent of the time! You can find her reading, spooning her chihuahua or chopping veggies. Visit TheSkinnyConfidential.com for some of Lauryn’s fab health tips.

Note from Charissa: This is such a cute idea…thank you Lauryn! Since I’m a chocolate chip addict, I’m sure I’ll be trying this! Her recipes are really healthy, light, and delicious…so go check them out!
