My nutritionist would be proud. She has told me that <!--more-->with my tall-ness and activity level I need at least 90 grams of protein a day. Let me tell you, it\u2019s no easy feat trying to get that much tucked inside of me by the end of the day\u2026specially when I\u2019m not super crazy about certain meats. Or meat in general. What I crave? Not protein, not meat, not salt\u2026its sugary things. Horrible, I know. I wish I didn\u2019t. It would make life so much simpler. But I always get excited when I find a way to get nutrition, protein, and even my cravings for sugar all in one package.<\/p>\n<p>For me, this shake fits the bill. My Mom actually made this one up and I mooched some of it off of her and said, \u201cI need this recipe for my site!\u201d It\u2019s kind of amazing. So yes, this recipe serves 2, although\u2026quite honestly, I would probably drink the whole thing\u2026just because I would.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipeTitle\">Mango Strawberry Protein Shake<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe\">\n<li>1 large, frozen banana<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup organic, frozen strawberries<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup frozen mango<\/li>\n<li>1 scoop vanilla protein powder*<\/li>\n<li>1 packet <a title=\"Truvia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003PMSTTE\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B003PMSTTE&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=coloupalat-20\" target=\"_blank\">Truvia<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. pure vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 \u00bd cup almond milk**<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Blend all the ingredients up in your blender. Stick in a straw and guzzle down. No, sorry\u2026 sip it politely.<\/p>\n<p>*For protein powder, we used <a title=\"Protein Powder\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0048JEMAI\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0048JEMAI&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=coloupalat-20\" target=\"_blank\">Jillian Michael\u2019s whey protein powder<\/a>. I recommend this stuff, she\u2019s really careful to use all natural ingredients, unlike a lot of other protein powders. And it\u2019s really affordable at $10! I didn\u2019t add up the protein powder in the nutritional info, because you might have a different protein powder with a different calories and protein count. And it\u2019s a lot faster than grilling up a chicken breast or boiling an egg!<\/p>\n<p>Just a note: I\u2019ll be gone singing with the family band this weekend, so it might be a few days before I\u2019m back. Just know I haven\u2019t dropped off the face of the earth\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Do you drink protein shakes?
