{"id":5053,"date":"2013-11-11T11:33:32","date_gmt":"2013-11-11T18:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/?p=5053"},"modified":"2013-11-11T11:35:05","modified_gmt":"2013-11-11T18:35:05","slug":"7-colourful-things-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/?p=5053","title":{"rendered":"7 Colourful Things"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love writing this feature &#8211; even if I&#8217;m just listing a few small things that I&#8217;m grateful for&#8230;the simple act of writing it down puts me in a place of peace, and a stark realization of how blessed I am.<\/p>\n<p>Lately I&#8217;ve been waking up with the scripture &#8220;His mercies are new every morning&#8221; on my lips and my heart. I&#8217;m so aware of <!--more-->God&#8217;s presence in my life, His protection, and the way He&#8217;s guided. While, first and foremost, I&#8217;m thankful for my relationship with God, here are some other things that have been pretty awesome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. I&#8217;ve taught bootcamps last year, but it was something I couldn&#8217;t charge for. Now, I can actually get paid for it. Oh yah. I&#8217;m pretty excited.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. If you plan ahead, it saves a lot of money and you can often get good brands for a steal. I recently became aware of <a title=\"The Ultimate Outlet\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ultimateoutlet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Outlet<\/a> &#8211; a site for discount shopping. I know I have a thing for blue, but the pics above are a collage I made of my favourite clothes from their site. Their clothes are discounted from around $70-100&#8217;s to sometimes $5-30. Whaaaaaa! That&#8217;s pretty cool. I&#8217;m in love with the blue skirt and <a title=\"Black Cardigan\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ultimateoutlet.com\/textured-cocoon-sweater-shrug-by-newport-news-44156.html?color=BLACK\" target=\"_blank\">the black cardigan<\/a> (pictured)!\u00a0 They have different brands, including a line called ShapeFX which keeps your silhouette streamlined with a built-in Power Mesh shaping slips and feminine ruching. They&#8217;re a new business, so from here on out they&#8217;ll just keep getting more product\/clothing into their discount store and I&#8217;m looking forward to more!<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Low Carb Pizzas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5058\" alt=\"Low Carb Pizzas\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Low-Carb-Pizzas-510x510.jpg\" width=\"510\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Low-Carb-Pizzas-510x510.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Low-Carb-Pizzas-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Low-Carb-Pizzas-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Low-Carb-Pizzas.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This might seem like a silly thing to be thankful for, but honestly, I feel like I&#8217;m always in a crazy rush and these &#8220;pizzas&#8221; are the quickest (and most delicious) meal ever. I just use a base of a low carb tortilla and then add on tomato paste (or pesto), cheese, tomatoes, spinach, veggies, and a little organic beef or some chicken&#8230;and we&#8217;re good! If I don&#8217;t have time to bake it, I just put it in the microwave. Easy peasy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. It eliminates the stress of &#8220;What on earth am I eating and I&#8217;m leaving in 5 minutes?!&#8221; and helps me be more organized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Who knew that 5 girls could get along so well (one missing in the pic above)! Not only do we all get along, but they&#8217;re the kind of gals that I&#8217;m happy to just hang out with! Love it. It&#8217;s actually one of the activities that is a stress reliever for me. Who says shopping isn&#8217;t therapeutic?<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. I think higher sugar smoothies are great before and after a workout, but if it&#8217;s just meal replacement I like to stick to low fruit. My newest smoothie favourite is a smoothie made with avocado, cucumber, lime juice, <a title=\"Spirulina\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nutrex-hawaii.com\/hawaiian-spirulina-1000mg-180-tablets-3-a-day?utm_campaign=colourfulpalatespirulina&amp;utm_medium=promotion&amp;utm_source=colourfulpalate\" target=\"_blank\">my favourite spirulina<\/a>, ice, almond milk, vanilla stevia, superfoods, celery, and organic spinach. Sounds blah, but tastes amazing.
