They can take the most boring food and make it extraordinary\u2026think about how bland everything would be without salt. Really blaaaaaaaa\u2026.nd.<\/p>\n<p>However, when I think about it, I haven\u2019t used a lot of spices in my smoothies. What made me think this, was this amazing chai smoothie I had<!--more--> the other day.<\/p>\n<p>Vega sent me some <a title=\"Vega One Chai\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/19Vex70\" target=\"_blank\">Vega One Chai<\/a> and it\u2019s probably my favourite Vega smoothie product there is. Hands down. The chai flavour is exceptionally delicious. Now I\u2019m looking for a way to make a hot version of this. Even though it\u2019s obviously summer, I don\u2019t think I ever stop sipping the hot drinks. You guys know I love my fats and this is super easy to pour onto salads or into my smoothies. I\u2019m all about convenience.<\/p>\n<p>Combining these two foods together are the perfect food marriage. Also, if you don\u2019t have an oil blend either, just add in one tablespoon of organic coconut oil. This recipe serves 2.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipeTitle\">Coconut Chai Smoothie<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe\">\n<li>1-1\/2 to 2 cups of coconut milk<\/li>\n<li>1 packet of Vega One Chai<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>8-12 almond milk ice-cubes*<\/li>\n<li>Vanilla stevia, to taste<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup shredded coconut, unsweetened<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*<i>If you don\u2019t have almond milk ice-cube, you can use normal ice cubes<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Blend everything except the shredded coconut. Then, add the coconut, but just mix it in with a spoon.<\/p>\n<p>Pour into glasses and top with a little more coconut and cinnamon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4822\" alt=\"Vega Chai Shake\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Vega-Chai-Shake-416x600.jpg\" width=\"416\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Vega-Chai-Shake-416x600.jpg 416w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Vega-Chai-Shake.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love eating my smoothies with a spoon and the addition of the coconut is delicious (I like to chew my smoothies, so it seems).<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a cheap tip for coconut milk \u2013 simply pour a can of it into a pitcher, add 2-3 cans of water, and stir. It\u2019s SO cheap to make coconut milk this way and I like a change from almond milk sometimes. There\u2019s no blending or hacking away at a coconut shell. You know I like things simple!
