Yesterday my sister and I spent the day with three of my nieces. We had a ball together\u2026they\u2019re such dramatic, sweet kids. They have such big imaginations and make up such wild stories, which make me laugh so hard.<\/p>\n

We went for a long walk outside (seriously, it was almost<\/em> warm!) and spent some time at the park. I brought along my camera and took some pretty cute pictures of them. I love it when you catch a laugh or a smile that wasn’t meant for the camera.<\/p>\n

Once we got in from the great outdoors, I decided it would be fun to have a tea party. So while the younger one took a nap, the two oldest girls and I made some bite-sized snacks. I scrounged their cupboards and fridge to see what we could whip up\u2026something sweet and then something healthy. It\u2019s all about balance, right? Besides, you can\u2019t have a tea party without something naughty to nibble on.<\/p>\n

So we made Peanut Butter Chocolate Bites.<\/p>\n

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bites<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. 1\/4 cup crunchy peanut butter<\/li>\n
  2. 1\/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips<\/li>\n
  3. A small handful of peanut butter or butterscotch chocolate chips<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This is the most kid-friendly thing ever. You simply plop little balls of PB onto a tray lined with wax paper. Melt some chocolate chips for a minute in the microwave or stove and spoon it over the PB. Crown the little bites with a butterscotch chocolate chip. Throw in the freezer for 15-30 minutes. They taste just like Reese\u2019s Peanut Butter Cups. Amazing.<\/p>\n

    While the little chocolates hardened in the freezer, we set out to make mini fruit shish-kabobs. I simply cut up very small pieces of orange, cucumber, and grapes and threw some toothpicks on the counter. The kids had a great time making little arrangements on the toothpicks, layering the colours, and poking the fruit through.<\/p>\n

    Then we set the table and the girls dug out a \u201cbweakable\u201d tea set.<\/p>\n

    \u201c…So we have to be vewy careful.\u201d One of the girls informed me.<\/p>\n

    The littlest one finally woke up and the girls scurried around to get dressed up for the party. It was so adorable. We got out some apple juice and had a lovely time.<\/p>\n
