I was very impressed with their philosophy of food, wellness, and weight loss\u2026it was extremely balanced, yet; refreshingly different than the other health\/wellness books I\u2019ve read in the past. Their viewpoints were similar to <!--more-->what I believed beforehand, but took everything to a whole new level.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4427\" alt=\"Trim Healthy Mama Book\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Trim-Healthy-Mama-Book-510x445.jpg\" width=\"510\" height=\"445\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Trim-Healthy-Mama-Book-510x445.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Trim-Healthy-Mama-Book-1024x895.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Trim-Healthy-Mama-Book.jpg 1235w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Personally, I think low carb is a wonderful way to eat (especially for weight loss)\u2026but I also believe we need carbs in our diet as well. So this book made me extremely happy as it showed how to make eating some carbs NOT a thing of weight gain, as well as the benefits of a more low-carb lifestyle. The book is scientific, but written in a way that makes it easy that\u2019s not hard to understand. Actually, it\u2019s written in a quirky, fun way with lots of illustrations and recipes\u2026oh, the RECIPES! People they are amazingly good! I have every intention of trying them all out\u2026and it\u2019s a big book (around 650 pages!)\u2026but honestly, every page is interesting.<\/p>\n<p>I loved <a title=\"Trim healthy mama\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/ZcsaIy\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cTrim Healthy Mama\u201d<\/a> so much\u2026there\u2019s nothing \u201cfad diet\u201d about this. However, it does make you think about your carbs, fats, and proteins in a whole new way. It\u2019s one book I feel I can completely recommend for the nutrition. It\u2019d geared more to wives and mamas, but anyone can benefit from the nutrition and recipes in it.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Serene Allison and Pearl Barrett (authors of the book), they\u2019ve allowed me to share one of my favourite recipes with you today. Add the ingredients and stir well. Microwave for one minute. The muffin should come out of the mug easily when you turn it upside down.
