Lately, I&#8217;ve been stuffing bars and an apple into my backpack as I head out the door. Especially when the weather is so cold, it&#8217;s nice to have something hot to warm up with. On the weekend, make a big batch and freeze it in individual containers. As you need them, put each container in the fridge the night before and throw it in your bag in the morning. I love them because they are mostly raw (goes back to my days when I used to be a raw foodie) and yet, don&#8217;t just taste like dates or raisins. They taste really similar to the &#8220;cooked&#8221; health bars. In other words, they&#8217;re yummy. My favourite so far is the <a title=\"Organic Food Bar - Chocolate Covered Greens\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/10r8T7M\" target=\"_blank\">Organic Chocolate Covered Greens bar<\/a>&#8230;seriously, how brilliant. Hiding greens inside of chocolate! Sometimes I&#8217;ll go for that, but I&#8217;ve even just ordered their sausage and egg sandwich without the sandwich (I&#8217;m typically gluten free). There&#8217;s always a healthy way to order when you&#8217;re doing fast food.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3976\" alt=\"Smoothie 140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Smoothie-140-510x340.jpg\" width=\"510\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Smoothie-140-510x340.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Smoothie-140-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Smoothie-140.jpg 1620w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also bring your smoothies with you. However, now I have it with <a title=\"Gluten Free Bread\" href=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/2011\/09\/05\/favourite-gluten-free-bread\/\" target=\"_blank\">gluten free bread<\/a> instead of wheat.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What&#8217;s your favourite lunch to pack with you?
