Sometimes I get stuck in a rut\u2026usually chocolate or green smoothies are my go-to shake. Or maybe it\u2019s your solution to getting your kids to eat their carrots. It\u2019s full of nutritional goodness and it\u2019s pretty yummy too!<\/p>\n<p>I recommend that you use carrot juice (Bolthouse Farms has a delicious juice!) instead of almond milk when blending for a stronger carrot flavour. Unfortunately, I didn&#8217;t have any in the house\u2026so I went for a milder carrot flavour with organic baby carrots. This serves 2.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipeTitle\">Carrot Cake Protein Shake<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe\">\n<li>\u00bd frozen banana<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd \u00a0cup organic baby carrots<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup almond milk<\/li>\n<li>1 scoop protein powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. organic flaxseed<\/li>\n<li>4 cubes ice<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp. pure vanilla<\/li>\n<li>Walnuts, crushed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Blend in your high-speed blender. Pour into two glasses and top with crushed walnuts. It\u2019s not just that we get to hang out with family and maybe relax\u2026I love the Easter story.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026And there\u2019s parts of it that I don\u2019t like. On Good Friday we remember the sacrifice that was made that day. The fact that Jesus was tortured, beaten, and crucified so that He could make a way for us to be with Him forever. Taking my sin and offering me the gift of eternal life\u2026the most beautiful gift ever given.<\/p>\n<p>The best part of the Easter story, is when death gives way to life\u2026to victory. The part when the Hero can\u2019t be hindered by such a small thing as death anymore.
