It\u2019s also only two weeks till my birthday, so I decided to take this next while to amp up my nutrition, diet, and fitness. These last two weeks I&#8217;ve noticed I&#8217;ve been <!--more-->eating too many carbs and having more sugar than I usually do. Time to fix that.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t have anything grand in mind. I believe that goals should be achievable and broken down into small steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goals:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get up earlier during week days<\/li>\n<li>Get a workout in before studying<\/li>\n<li>Drink more <a title=\"Smoothies\" href=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/category\/smoothies\/\" target=\"_blank\">smoothies <\/a><\/li>\n<li>Lose 3 lbs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been pretty good with working out consistently\u2026I especially love using the Nike app (best fitness app ever!). This popped up on my iPod after yesterday\u2019s workout\u2026I&#8217;ve done 1,000 minutes of working out on that thing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2013\" title=\"Nike Club 01\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Nike-Club-01-400x600.png\" alt=\"Nike Club 01\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Nike-Club-01-400x600.png 400w, https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Nike-Club-01.png 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, I want <strong>try to work out 45 minutes every day<\/strong> (except weekends) for the next two weeks. I also will post some of what I\u2019m eating.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yesterday\u2019s diet journal page looked like this:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pre-workout:<\/span><\/strong> Fruit cut up (1 apple, 1 orange, &amp; 1 avocado)<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Workout:<\/span><\/strong> 45 minutes Nike workout<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Post-workout:<\/span><\/strong> 1 Vega shake<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lunch:<\/span><\/strong> 2 <a title=\"Vegan Banana Pancakes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/2011\/06\/22\/vegan-banana-oatmeal-pancakes\/\" target=\"_blank\">vegan banana pancakes<\/a> w\/ organic PB &amp; maple syrup<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Snack:<\/span><\/strong> 2 organic eggs w\/ \u00bd tomato<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dinner:<\/span><\/strong> 1 \u00bd servings Tuna Puff<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dessert:<\/span><\/strong> 1 piece of Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge (don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s healthy! I\u2019ll post the recipe soon!)<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Beverages:<\/span><\/strong> 2 cups green tea, 2\/3+ gallon of water, organic peppermint tea<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note to self:<\/span><\/strong> Working out before studying is amazing. Normally I start the day a little sleepy and feeling foggy. But today I feel invigorated, alert, and mentally awake. Anyway\u2026now I can show you!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a home gym! Woot! Doing fitness DVDs or workouts in the living room is fine, but I was a little tired of skidding on the slippery floor rug, not having enough room, and dragging my fitness gear around all the time. It&#8217;s got lots of room behind the treadmill and a monitor in front to watch movies while we run (so spoiled!).<\/p>\n<p>We also keep our infrared sauna in a corner as well.
