But I think I\u2019m starting to learn how to beat those pesky cravings.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tonight I had plain yogurt (put in the freezer a while) mixed in with <a title=\"Truvia\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/PVoPGL\" target=\"_blank\">Truvia<\/a> and a little bit of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Everyone else had cake and ice-cream. I win! Seriously though, it really does help with sugar cravings.<\/p>\n<p>Or else I make a healthy dessert. Yup\u2026you knew I\u2019d be doing a protein recipe, didn\u2019t cha? I made this recipe a couple days ago for a little sweet to end lunch with. With smaller glasses, it serves 3. It\u2019s coconut and chocolate\u2026and protein. All good, right?<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipeTitle\">Chocolate Coconut Smoothie<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe\">\n<li>1 young coconut, just the meat<\/li>\n<li>1 cup raw, unsweetened almond milk*<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. cocoa<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp. chocolate hemp protein powder**<\/li>\n<li>1 \u00bd frozen bananas<\/li>\n<li>Pinch sea salt<\/li>\n<li>3 packets Truvia (or other healthy sweetener)<\/li>\n<li>6 ice cubes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*I used this <a title=\"How to Make Almond Milk\" href=\"https:\/\/www.colourfulpalate.com\/2011\/05\/21\/how-to-make-almond-milk\/\" target=\"_blank\">almond milk recipe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>**Or just use original hemp protein powder, doesn\u2019t have to be chocolate flavoured<\/p>\n<p>Whiz all those ingredients into submission. Now what I did for a garnish was dip the rims of the glasses in chocolate syrup and then dipped them again into a bowl of shaved, unsweetened coconut. It\u2019s pretty and elegant\u2026and it gives an extra little coconut flavour with each sip! But nutritionally, this is a super healthy recipe\u2026it has your healthy fats, protein, fibre, fruits, and chocolate. To me, that\u2019s pert near to perfect. *smile*<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What do you like to pair chocolate with? Raspberries? Nuts? <\/em><\/strong><em>I think the only thing I wouldn\u2019t pair chocolate with would be broccoli.
