Making Gifting Easy

Gifts made easy

The Christmas season is almost upon us! I’m already falling apart in joyful anticipation.

One of my roomies has a tall, white Christmas tree and I cannot wait to set it up while drinking eggnog with my boy Bing in the background.

And of course, there’s presents!

I’m happy to highlight a few things from Shoppers Drug Mart that have caught my attention. I used to work at a gym right next to Shoppers…so I’d often pop in there. It was usually intended to grab a snack, but mostly what happened is me drooling over the latest and greatest beauty products.

And yes, I’m that girl. I love me some perfume and mascara.

Speaking of mascara, this is probably my favourite thing ever. So this set is brilliant. I’m so game for trying out new kinds…and as a gift for a fellow beauty enthusiast; I feel that this Eye Studio Mascara Sampler would be a bright “eye-dea” (pun intended).

Also, I have a fetish of not ever having dry lips…so these EOS Rachel Roy lipbalms are not only practical, but pretty. I can definitely think of one very lovely person who would like this…besides me.

In case you didn’t know, I work a few shifts as a barista at Starbucks now and then…and while I love it, the saddest part is that we can’t wear nail polish. This denial has been sad (first world problems), so when I’m not working I do my best to take advantage of some good nail polish. I’m stoked to try this Orly 18 piece Mini Nail Polish Set by Quo.

Nail and lip balm

This year I’m determined to get a head start on all this shopping, so when it comes closer to the holidays, I can just spend more time relaxing, being with friends and family, and reflecting on what the season is really about. I hate procrastinating…it’s so stressful!

However, when I am procrastinating, I see nothing wrong with grabbing a beautiful box of chocolates for a friend, The Entertainer or a last minute gift for a holiday party. And while I often find shopping for the guys harder, I’m noticing that Shoppers Drug Mart has some sweet gifts for the “Modern Man” like the Gillette ProGlide Holiday Pack, the Jawbone UP24 Wristband, electric toothbrushes, or maybe a rugged fragrance.

You might want to visit the Shoppers Drug Mart Holiday website to browse the GIFTS MADE EASY experience this Holiday season AND to play their Unwrap to Win game ( from Dec 1st- 24th )for a chance to win gifts ranging from beauty, fragrances, skin care sets to toys, electronics and gift cards!  It’s a great place to get ideas, filter gifts by price/categories/person you’re shopping for and get a head start on Christmas! They’re giving away 15 prizes every day (360 in total) and there are a lot of sales, exclusive holiday gift sets and promotions in-store going along with this! In addition, their holiday gift guide launches include: “Give Beauty, beautyBOUTIQUE” available now, “Get Set for the Happiest Holidays” on Nov 15th, and 3 additional guides available in late November and December. Follow the conversation at #giftsmadeeasy!

Also, you’ll want to enter the #SDMHolidays Retweet to Win contest for a chance to win 1of 10 – $100 gift cards from Shoppers Drug Mart. It’s worth a shot!

Happy shopping!

Long Hair Love with Garnier

I don’t look good with short hair. At least, I don’t think so. Somehow with my almost freakish tall height (I’m exactly 6 feet) having short hair makes me look all out of proportion.

While I really love my long hair, I’m not going to lie. It needs extra Continue reading »

Creative Cracker Toppings

All these travel snacks get old. We’ve been on the road for almost two weeks now, but as much as I love it…the snacking area of my life (in which I spend a considerable amount of time with) has gotten a little boring.

Recently, we broke into a box of Continue reading »

Chocolate on Whole Wheat Toast

Chocolate on Toast

One of the first things people notice about my blog is my little slogan…

“Hi! My name is Charissa and I blog about healthy food, fitness, and my everyday adventures. To me, balanced living is chocolate on whole wheat toast.”

When Kraft Philly came out with their chocolate cream

Protein Please (review)

Protein Bars with Yogurt

Sometimes I think I’m the most fabulous planner in the world. There are those days where I have a healthy lunch all packed and ready to go, hot tea in a thermos, and fruit in a bag…but I have to admit, that I feel like a lot of the time…I’m NOT that fabulous “put together” gal and I’m scrambling Continue reading »

Ways to Use Essential Oils

DoTerra Intro Kit (2)

Do you remember my interview with Rachel? Well, this beautiful gal sent me her introductory kit to essential oils. As you probably know, it’s one of my goals this year to learn how to use essential oils…so obviously, I was a tad more than excited to start trying them Continue reading »
