Oh my word. Summer is just flying by…way too fast. Seriously, who pressed fast forward?! Today I thought I’d share some fun photos from my Instagram feed – it sort of shows what I’ve been up to, as far as healthy eats and fitness is concerned.
The rest of my life has involved quite a bit of traveling, singing, and having some special friends over for a few days. Every day a lot has been happening…but I love things busy!
As always, I’ve been having my daily smoothie! There have been maybe 3 days where I had a small meal or snack along with my smoothie, but mostly I’ve been having it as meal replacement for lunch or breakfast. I’ve loved trying new recipes…
…and sticking with the same old recipes. I just can’t get tired of the banana PB chocolate shake – it’s like a liquid Reeses cup. Forever a favourite.
On the days where I’m not able to use my blender (with our traveling) I’ve been using my new drink shaker (thanks BlenderBottle!) and I love, love it! It has this awesome whisk in it that eliminates those annoying clumps of protein powder and makes your shake so much smoother! It looks cute and sporty, which is a bonus! I’m happy to report that my workouts have been really great lately – I don’t have much time these days, so I typically break up my workouts into short increments randomly throughout the day (morning and evening mainly). It all adds up – and by nighttime I’ve already hit 1 hour of fitness/sports. If you think you don’t have time to work out an hour a day, remember that 1 hour is only 4% of your day! Break it into manageable chunks and you can do it! However, even if you just do 30 minutes a day, that is GREAT!
I’ve been using GNC’s ProSculpt punch for a caffeine kick in the morning (who needs coffee!) and I’ve noticed my workouts have been better since I’ve started. I have more energy and it tastes great, so I actually look forward to it in the morning.
I’m loving my Nike workouts – they are just so much fun and they really challenge me!
Speaking of Nike, I just bought this shirt…huge fan of Nike clothing – maybe because I love all their slogans!
Lots of good eats happening around here – after a workout I wanted something super hydrating, so this fruit/veggie plate hit the spot! Gonna have to do this more often!
I received this signed photo of Bethany Hamilton in the mail the other day which made my day extra happy. There was a shipping mistake with a book I got from her site, so they sent this! She is an amazing, godly gal that really inspires me with her determination and fighter’s spirit. Love her!
