I don’t go to school anymore, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t eat “after-school snacks”. I do. Everyday. And if I didn’t…everyone would know it because by dinner I tend to feel….well, grumpy. Of course, I’m not…I’m just. terribly. hungry. and. need. food. now.
Anyway, today’s post is super fun because I got help from some of my blogger friends who sent in their favourite snacks! They’re all so creative. My form of snacking sometimes tends to be…a handful of chocolate chips. (Gasp! Did I just admit that?!) No, I do try to have healthy snacks too…so I’ll share some of my favourite snack posts too!
My Mango Strawberry Protein Shake is a delicious way to make it through the afternoon!
Katherine from KatherineMartinelle says, “I love having any of these healthy + easy mezze/dips in the fridge to snack on with carrots sticks or pita and curry puffs are great because you can make a bunch, freeze them, and quickly heat them in the oven for a fast (although not as healthy…) snack. To make them healthier bake them in the first place.” She also says that green apples with peanut butter is one of her faves.
Then there’s one of my half healthy/half bad snack. Gaaaah, it’s really (and I mean REALLY!) good. You better try this Vegan Nut-Free “Almond Roca” to believe it!
Lauren from WhatLaurenLikes loves fruit with nuts and berries with yogurt! (Great protein matchups!)
And for the kids who love popcorn (MEEEEE!!!!) here’s a healthy alternative to caramel popcorn! Sticky Date Popcorn! My sister-in-law’s kids really love munching this recipe. So it’s totally kid tested and approved.
And last (but not least) from my personal snack roundup I choose to highlight my favourite caramel apple dip. It’s SO good…we make it all the time! A great way to eat lots of apples in one sitting…once you start eating them with this dip, it’s really hard to stop. Believe me.
I had fun putting this post together! Thank you to my blogger friends for sending in your awesome suggestions! And for the rest of you, go check out their sites!
